All of the Dogs We Have Loved

Our canine curated life with our Drewry Street Dogs is a daily delight and a treasure trove of precious memories.    

Since moving to the Virginia Highland neighborhood as newlyweds in 1989, we have had minimal gaps in our canine continuity. Our adult children agree that all of our dogs were and are an integral part of our family, enhancing every day with their presence. We quantify the experience with thousands of pictures, miles of neighborhood walks, and hours of love and laughter.  

The memories are timeless treasures indeed. A long workday dissipates once you arrive at the back gate with the enthusiastic tail-wagging greeting committee ready to spend a relaxing and/or exciting evening together. 

We never cease to be amazed by our dog’s intelligence and sensitivity; they understand every word, every routine, everything!  

Each of our dogs have been rescues. Additionally, we have fostered multitudes of other shelter dogs.  They each remind us every day of how very fortunate we are to have them as a part of our family, enriching our lives.
