The North Highland Beautification Project is a capital campaign dedicated to revitalizing the shared commercial corridor on North Highland Ave from Morningside Village to Historic Atkins Park. It aims to significantly enhance the area through landscape improvements and new amenities.
Phase 1 successfully raised $90,000 in 2024. This funding led to the installation of warm white tree lighting, the addition of large self-watering planters, repainting of light poles, new branded double-sided banners, refreshed landscaping, and the launch of weekly landscaping maintenance and trash pickup.
The goal is to raise $150,000 to fully implement all beautification project improvements. Your donation will help fund assets such as 62 hanging and standing planters, 25 repainted crosswalks, 9 new benches, 56 tree bed protectors, and 17 new trash cans.
The project will introduce lush hanging and standing flower planters, freshly repainted crosswalks for safety, updated benches for comfort, iron tree bed protectors with seasonal plantings, updated trash cans and recycling receptacles, and dog waste stations.
You can sponsor an asset—such as a bench, planter, or dog waste station—to honor a cause, a loved one, or even a pet. Your sponsorship gift will include a plaque featuring your name and story.
Yes, all donations to the North Highland Beautification Project are tax-deductible.
